Clinical advice
- Consider referral to GenitoMedical Clinic (Clinic 1A) or to Dermatologists for recurrent balanitis in the absence of phimosis.
- Consider urological referral only if circumcision is needed or if there is any suggestion of penile malignancy in adults.
- Adults with suspected penile cancer should be referred on the “fast track” system.
- If there is clinical doubt about the need for circumcision in children, contact the Paediatric Urologists.
PLEASE NOTE: Neonatal circumcision is not performed by the adult urologists.
